Ahhh, that same ol' adage for when an SEC teams loses, they just weren't motivated. Not that the other could have, you know, beat them.
Yes, I'm opposed to the idea that a team of 20 year olds play with the same fervor and edge in the game directly following a failure of all their season goals. Silly me.
You know, it's funny. The same crowd that groans when I share stat-happy posts and explain how
these players aren't robots - that they have heart and guile and moxie and can rise to the occasion - those same people point and laugh at the suggestion that these kids don't approach every game with the same level of motivation. As if they can't uninspired football when all of their goals are erased.
