Legitimately good slate of B1G games this week. I don't have much in the way of particulars, but as I look at the way our rankings have fluctuated over the course of the season, this week feels like a lot of really evenly matched, show-me type of games.
Penn State/Ohio State is the marquis one, but Oregon going to Michigan is Oregon's first/only (I hope Wisconsin is one, too) real road test.
Wisconsin @ Iowa: I love the Wisconsin/Iowa rivalry. I know it's not generally for the Rose Bowl (or whatever we're trying for now), but just seeing those guys line up in the trenches screams classic Big Ten football to me.
Minnesota @ Illinois is a chance for each to prove what they are worth.
USC @ Washington is a classic Pac-10 [sic--I said what I meant to say] battle, between two underperforming, but talented teams. This is a save what's left of your season kind of game.
Indiana @ Sparty: MSU won't roll over at home. Another chance for IU to prove it's not a fluke.
Even Northwestern @ Purdue: Purdue's last serious chance for a win?
UCLA @ Nebraska is probably the least interesting for a classic Big Ten tilt, but UCLA may not be as bad as it has looked; they started with a very tough schedule. Nebraska has not. But it's still a long trip for the Bruins, right on the heels of an even longer trip.
Seriously, every one of these games has a pretty good story line.
