Either Illinois is MUCH better than I expected or we are witnessing the Scott Farewell tour.

Adrian Martinez is really struggling throwing the ball.

For as long as Martinez has played college ball, he hasn't improved a lick.

Either way, close game in Champaign.

Nebraska really blew their chance at blowing this game wide open. Up 9-2, an INT that would've put the Huskers at midfield is overturned by two fouls gifting Illinois 25 penalty yards from which their sputtering offense is able to find enough life to finish the drive for a TD.

9-9.

Frost should have stayed at UCF to win more national titles.

He's way over his head in this league.

Wow. So Nebraska "gave" The Noise all 16 points. (I know, I know they still had to go 20 yards after the 30 yard penalty, but just saying.)

Didn't Beliema bring in 9 transfer players. Including both QB's and 4 star D line guy? I'm thought I heard some talking heads saying Illinois upgraded several positions via the transfer portal.

Yes, 9 total. 3 are starters, I believe.

I think Illinois "lost" 16 players to the portal, but not sure.

How many of those departures were starters? I don't know why I still listen to ESPN talking heads (guess I'm a glutton for annoyance) but they had a blurb at the B1G, how Dark horse Illinois would be better with those 9 players, and OSU would be lucky to be 10-2 this year, but closer to Iowa level.

Having FL talent and facing AAC defenses...yeah.
