Well, a $30 K EV might be fine for the customer, but what sort of profit would Ford be able to make off that?  In Europe, where gasoline is $7-8 per gallon, and electricity is not that much higher, it starts to make sense, I suspect, I don't know what their typical away from home charging costs are.  I keep going over the math with gas around here at $3 per and it's not good at all.  I'd love to hear from the folks who live in this building about their experience with the two downstairs chargers.

I think it can be summed up more succinctly as people aren’t willing to spend north of $75,000 on a fucking Ford vehicle. Period. 

The only Ford vehicles anyone is willing to pay $75k+ for are probably that new Shelby Mustang and the top of the line heavy duty F250-F350 trucks- and yeah of course absolutely nobody buying the muscle car or the heavy duty diesel truck want EV versions. Lol.
