They repaved an ancient parking lot here in a tiny rural GA town I'm visiting, and installed 2 charging stations.

My dad says no one has seen anyone use them.  It's been over a year.

Sounds dangerously like arguing via anecdote.

I know you never do that, of course...

Just sharing.

Anecdotes can be true, but aren't great evidence.  We all know this.

Our Kroger has six stations from two companies and I have seen them full and at least one car waiting to get a spot.  They usually have one or two cars hooked up.  This of course is a very urban area.  I'd guess our condo has 200 cars and about 10 EVs, if that is anecdotally near relevant.

I think an EV can be a good choice for some situations now.  The main thing is being able to plug in at home.

A PHEV could be useful for a lot of folks as they can use 110 V connections effectively overnight.

If you had to guess what the No. 1 luxury electric brand in America is, what would it be?
Turns out it's actually Cadillac.
That's a big deal both for General Motors' luxury division and the EV landscape. For Cadillac, it's a much-needed reset after a decades-long identity crisis. The company's name was more associated with its past glory days than its current products, which have long struggled to capture consumers' imagination (except the Escalade).
But it has now delivered a full slate of compelling, stylish EVs packed with technology.

Why Did Our Kia EV9’s First Service Cost $322?

The total cost came in slightly below the original estimate. The dealer charged $89.95 to rotate and balance the tires, $129.95 for the alignment, $81.59 for the cabin air filter ($43.50 of which was labor), and $26.34 for shop supplies. Our car also received software fixes for recalls related to Remote Smart Parking Assistant and an instrument cluster that occasionally failed to boot—more to come on that last one in our next update—and a technical service bulletin related to the tire pressure monitoring system. The car wash was a nice touch, as was applying a $10 coupon without any input from me, but neither courtesy offset the sting of handing over a credit card to settle up for $321.70.

someone been bumpin curbs?
driving on gravel and dirt roads for the cabin air filter
or first service at 100,000 miles?
