Anyway that was fun.  Solid performance, and got to see some old friends I hadn't seen in a while.  Lots of folks came in town for the Supers.

Maybe I need to watch it a few more times but that USC CF play on that last ball was ...awkward.

Did he misjudge?   Not pick it up until too late?  Would've been an elite catch to be sure, just didn't look right. 

Statcast would help.

I saw somewhere that UGA will be matched with Texas in Omaha, probably the two best teams left.  I don't understand how they work seeding, or if it matters.  It's double E, no?  I don't know the scheme.

It's two 4-team brackets playing a double-elimination tournament, same format as the regionals.

Then the final two teams, winners of each of the brackets, play a final best-of-three series, same format as the super-regionals.

I like the symmetry of it all, although the olden days of a true 8-team full double-elimination tourney were wild and fun as well.

He derped it.  Would've been a good catch, but one I'd expect a CWS-worthy CF to make most of the time.  

He derped it because I jinxed them.  My Voodoo powers are real.
