My depression over Penn State's fall kept me from keeping up with this.  Now that I am getting back up, hopefully Penn State does the same.  Here is the latest map.

Yeah, I admit, while it would be crappy for the conference, if Iowa were to beat Wisconsin this week and then lose to Purdue next week, we'd have a significant portion of the entire northern United Sates in Purdue Gold and Black.  That would make me happy......until we promptly then lost the following week to IU....

...jeez I've been a Purdue fan for too long.   :'(

So the ONE week that Ohio State's land actually looked pretty impressive is the ONLY map not available for me to view in this thread.

That was actually not intentional.  I was also very busy last week.

Just a happy coincidence.

So, With just a couple games left I think we can crown the True College Football National Champion.

That seems odd... Where's Bama? I realize that they lost all their territory to Auburn in week 12, but did Clemson have no territory to acquire? Didn't they win their last 7 or so prior to the CFP? I'd have thought they'd pick up SOME territory in that stretch.

And how did UCF pick up so much? Shouldn't Auburn have lost all their territory to Georgia in the SECCG?

And dammit it pisses me off that Purdue won their last 3 games [including the bowl], but apparently not a single team they played had any territory to acquire.

Yah, Clemson lost all theirs to Syracuse, they never played a team with territory after.

Wisconsin was #1 in land area
USC was number #1 in population
OSU swooped in at the end and sniped both of those.

Pitt at number 2 is driving PSU fans crazy. Their "not a rival" conference mate, and their "not a rival" geography mate both beat them this year.
