You people are acting like Northwestern is not Chicago's Big Ten team, and Rutgers is not New York's Big Ten team

So with no games pitting the mid majors against the big boys, what happens if three or four G5s run the table?

BYU's toughest games after this are against Army and Houston. You could have them plus the three conference champions of CUSA, the American and the Sunbelt with unblemished records at seasons end.

BYU impressive. Really rooting for Kalani Sitaki to have a good year, however many games the Cougars play - good guy. And it just occurred to me: might it be the slightest recruiting advantage for BYU to be the only program West of the Rockies guarantee on TV this season?

Ha, no doubt.


Longhorn fans are the largest single group of college fans in Dallas, but they're by no means a simple majority.  As C-Dubb mentioned, there are a lot of Sooners in Dallas as well.  And a fairly large population of Aggies, although Houston is more of an Aggie town than Dallas is, for various reasons.  And then a smattering of other Texas schools mixed in.

But also, Dallas is more of a pro-sports town than a college town.  The Cowboys absolutely dominate the sports fan mindshare in that city, and the Rangers, Mavericks, and Stars get their share, too.
