Let's make it democratic.  It's the off-season, why don't we put it to a vote.  Arguing for 3 pages of posts can be fun, but this is simpler.  Quicker and easier to contribute, too.

I will try my very best not to leave anyone obvious off, and I'll do 4 of these at a time.  Each poll will be open for 4 days (in case you don't visit the forum over the weekend or something).  Hope this works and gets high participation!!!

Thanks in advance.  You can vote once and results only visible after you vote.

Charles Rogers didn't have enough longevity.  Only played 2 years.  Not sure how Braylon Edwards numbers stack up.

This one is really hard.  Great cases for each player.

Man, did not realize Rogers was 20th in conference history in yards and 12th in TDS in two seasons. Shoot, he might get my vote

Difficult to select between Anthony Carter, and Ernie Nevers.

Did they have uniform numbers when Nevers played in the 1920s?

I did.  Kind of like honey badger, always impacting the game no matter what.  AC would be my runner up.   Percy did get injured a bit too iirc.

He was definitely incredible - faster than everyone else and bigger than you'd think - legit 200 lbs.

Larry Fitzgerald only played two years

I thought about Rogers and Edwards, but seemed like Tim Raines to Fitzgerald and Carter's Rickey Henderson.

Rogers and Fitz played 2 years, with Fitz having 25 more catches and 7 more TD.  So while Rogers was great, I don't want to put people on the list just to put them on.  If only 2 years of volume doesn't bother you, I assume you're voting for Fitzgerald.

Same with Edwards and Carter as UM players.  If you see a few guys as mostly equal and are going to go with a Michigan man, won't most go with Carter?

I could post 20 guys for each jersey number for people to reminisce about, but we don't need a bunch of 2nd-best types on here, do we?
