Bryce looks like the only dude on offense who came there to play. And he's a true freshman. kinda sad state of affairs for the rest of those bums. 

time to hit the portal this off-season and get Bryce some real WR's. maybe a couple OL's too while were making a wishlist.

tough and not wise to speculate, but I think you're right, and its conceivable he piped up and said something which rubbed the RB the wrong way.
