9. Purdue
11. Purdue
You didn't place Indiana and you placed Purdue twice.  Which one was supposed to be Indiana?

  • Penn St. - Didn't learn a lot from playing Villanova and the wins over Wis and Auburn don't look quite as good as they did, but they are playing very good defense and the offense is doing what they should.
  • Ohio State - Didn't learn a lot from playing Akron, but I didn't see multiple Def players running into each other this week, which is a huge improvement. Hopefully, they are getting things figured out on that side of the ball.
  • Iowa - Colorado St. gave them all they wanted. I don't know that they are quite the team people think they are. We'll see.
  • Michigan St. - Right now, I would pick MSU to win on a neutral field over any listed below them. Here for now.
  • Michigan - Looked good for the first half and then fell apart after halftime. Not sure they belong here, but we'll see.
  • Wisconsin - They need to find a QB that doesn't kill them. They were in this game in the 4th qtr with a lead. QB and special teams let them down.
  • Maryland - Looking good right now and the WVU win is looking better with WVU taking OU to the end of the game.
  • Rutgers - If they could have played the first half like the 2nd, they would be higher. Who knows, maybe after this week, they will be higher.
  • Indiana - 2 pt win over WKU is not impressive.
  • Purdue - A case could be made to put them ahead of Ind.
  • Nebraska - Right now, I would take them over Minnesota.
  • Minnesota - Lost to one of the worst MAC teams at home. Not a good look.
  • Northwestern - Beat up Ohio U, the team the Michigan prepares all year for.
  • Illinois - The new Rutgers.

1. Penn State - Most consistent.
2. Iowa - Uninspiring effort.  Let's see how they do against another terror from the East
3. Ohio State - Ok it was Akron, but defense looked less tentative
4. Michigan - Are they the first half team or the 2nd half one?
5. Michigan State - Survive and advance.
6. Wisconsin - Championship D, but not much else
7. Maryland - Let's see how good they are
8. Indiana - Not ready to throw them in the trash just yet
9. Rutgers - Much improved, but are they still the worst team in the East?
10. Nebraska - Playing much better.  I think they'll pull a big upset or two.
11. Minnesota - What was that?
12. Purdue - Happy to be 3-1, but not that good.
13. Northwestern - West is bad, so Northwestern could feed and move up
14. Illinoi - Chance to go 0-3 out of conference

He didn't like Big Ten expansion, but since it did happen, he only acknowledges Maryland?
