Interesting.

Woodford makes a big deal out of being distilled three times.

I know I've had Tito's but it has left no memory of it.  Huh.

I'm going to get some next time I'm out and try it neat and cold.  It's 60% the price of the Goose.

I might add some juniper berries for taste.

Tito's Martini's are ok with me.  I don't seem to need the splash or couple drops of vermouth.

I do need the large olives - stuffed with blue cheese are my fav

I also splash a bit of olive juice for dirtiness

Goose is click bait for the Buds and wallet.Try Luksusowa Polish Potato Vodka,I like Tito's and that(Luksusowa) it seems almost creamy but is distinct

Interesting, I had no idea Tito was the 324th richest guy in the country now (or at least, as of that 2017 article).

I guess now might be a good time to remind him that he still owes me money for parking back in 2007?

I recall you doing that, all those years ago.  Guess it worked out for him. :)

He's a decent enough guy, although he's always been a little on the big-headed side.  But he does a LOT for charity and always has, and that's enough for me.

I wonder what interest rate I should charge him for that $10 in parking I covered over a decade ago?  If his company is worth over a billion dollars, well...

You need to replace the cannon with a giant radioactive drum.
With apologies to the fine Texicans of Gonzales, of course.

I looked for a gif with the Gonzales battle flag quote, and a drum instead of the cannon, but it didn't work out.

Were they Texicans at that time, or Texians?  Your history knowledge is most definitely superior to mine.

Yes, nearly all gin is superior to vodka.

The cheaper gins to me are "oily" and nasty.  I don't know if it's cogerners or cheap botanicals, but I don't like them, I'd probably prefer cheap vodka (and fruit juice).

I can do OK with Beefeater, which is not "cheap".  Hendrick's is pretty good.  I've tried a few of the newer ones and have not found any I like better than Tangueray.

The gin aisle around here has expanded in the past 5 years or so immensely with "craft gins".  Meh.

It's a bit like beer, to me, I like Samuel Adams just fine.  There of course are others I also like, but this profusion of craft beers to me is just confusing and I'm apt to order something I don't like that much, or don't like any better than SA.  They also seem to come in restaurants who focus on having 100 beers on tap instead of having GOOD food.  Ten beers on tap is fine, even 5, if they are decent, IMHO.

There is a chain of sports bars here that features 100 on tap and their food is mediocre at best, Taco Mac they are called.

I like Goose Island pretty well too.  There is a local brewery called Sweetwater that has a nice pilsner called 420.  It's fine when it is hot.  Their brewery is about 4 miles north of me, a pretty big operation now.

Here I thought 420 was a Pale Ale,  not a pilsner.   Do we have bootlegged supply here?
