My major question is why did the Vols go with Rocky Top as their big theme song when Tennessee Stud would sound so much better with the band and is a way cooler Tennessee song

One does tire quickly of hearing Rocky Top at their games.  One solution is to prevent them from scoring or getting a first down.

I figure for the same reasons "Country Roads" is a West Virginia banger.

Or "Sweet Home Alabama" in Gumpville.

Or "Callin' Baton Rouge" in the sewer that is Baton Rouge.

I had friends who were UT alumni with season tickets and they couldn't make one game.  Knowing I was a Dawg fan, they gave their tickets to me, so we went.  It was the game where Nick Chubb went down with his first bad knee injury.  The Vols won.  The Vol fans around us and that I met were extremely courteous.

UGA ran out to an early lead, and it got pretty quiet, and then the Vols stormed back and it was very loud.

As noted, I have no idea what to expect from either team, hope it's a good game.  My mom was a UT grad also, but my kids are OSU alumni.
