I'm sticking to my theory, Michigan has a very high ceiling and a very low floor.  You can't count them out of any game, even this one because they have enough talent that they could knock off Indiana.  Conversely, they are such a mess on offense that there are no gimmies for them because they could lose to just about anybody.

this is how I see them. they can lose to anyone but conversely they can beat anyone.

they have talent but are incredibly inconsistent with horrible penalties & turnovers constantly and shitty coaching. when things are clicking they can be pretty damn good, same time when things are falling apart at the seams and snowballing into a comedy of errors they can lose to anyone- even Western Michigan.

having said that, Indiana is going to freaking SMASH them. can definitely see Indiana being pissed off after blowing what should've been a win vs Ohio State and then taking it out on this Michigan team.

I see a tight one.

also- IU “ could have” beaten OSU.  I definitely wouldn’t say “should have”.

Correct, football is a 4qtr game, a screw up at Kick off affects the score no more/less than one on the final play. We can replay 4 full qtrs of highlights and point out quite a few "what ifs". But as they say in Golf, "they don't ask you how, they ask you how many"

But back to this game if Tommy Carr can ball out like that both running and passing IU could be starting another streak

yup

The last time Indiana won at Michigan this was a brand new car, Lyndon Johnson was President, Richard Nixon was a failed prior candidate for governor of California and Bo Schemblecher was the Head Coach at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio whose most recent BigTen involvement was as an assistant under Woody Hayes at Ohio State.

we tend to ignore the psychological and momentum factor in football.

let’s see what Indiana looks like. By their own definition, they just lost the biggest game they ever played in their home stadium and did so in excruciating fashion.

they had a crazy wild crowd cheering for them and now they have to go somewhere where there’s 110,000 people cheering against them

Completely different environment.
