Wisconsin by 10?  Only?  The Badgers have the nations #1 defense, Michigan's QB is a red shirt freshman, pass offense is less sophisticated than that of the average high school team's and Michigan's last two starting RBs are injured.  What else?  Top CB likely out with concussion, D lineman Gary injured, the place kicker is having trouble putting it through the uprights, and Camp Randall.  Am I missing anything?

Doomed!

When was the last time Gameday went to an 11 AM game?

Also, any word on where they're setting up? Considering it takes an hour to get into the student end of the Camp, they can't set up on Bascomb Hill like in previous trips.

B1G cashes the big tv checks from Fox, no? Fox reserves the rights to put the games on at what time they want them on. My guess is Fox wants maximum eye balls and ad dollars for that 12pm ET slot.

Seems like as the season has worn on FOX has wanted to put their big Big Ten game in the noon slot.  The last two weeks it was MSU-PSU and MSU-OSU, now UM-UW.  Two weeks ago UM-Minnesota was the FOX primetime game.  This week MSU-Maryland is the 4:00 FOX game.  Three straight weeks the Big Ten's marquee game has been the noon FOX game, and they've put the lesser game on later.

Personally I love it.

I also have repeatedly mentioned that this seems smart.  It seems like every network is putting their best game in primetime.  And while you have more eyeballs overall, is it better to be the 3rd or 4th highest rated primetime game, or to win the noon or 3:30 slots?  It was tough to find good data, because for the last few years there were no marquee noon games save UM-OSU, so it was tough to determine.  You couldn't just pick the top rated noon game and compare it, because when it was the best of a bad bunch, it wasn't a game that people turned their tvs on to watch, it was just people like us, who were watching anyway, figured that was the one worth watching.  If FOX is going to put games on at NOON that people turn on specifically to watch, I imagine they'll do well.  They seem to get creamed in the primetime ratings by ABC/ESPN, even when they have the better game, anyway.

Do you mean any 12ET/11CT game, or one that's actually in the CT, so the kick is 11 AM?

The answer to the former is UM-OSU last year.

I don't know.  Haven't seen numbers for this week yet, but MSU-PSU won the noon time slot (even with the weird delay), and came in 4th overall for the weekend 2 weeks ago.  It was also the highest rated game of the FOX triple header that day, beating the 4:00 and 8:00 games.

Like I said, THAT'S the problem.  FOX is getting creamed in the ratings later on when ABC/ESPN and CBS shows their big games.  I don't think it's a coincidence that this will be the third straight week they've put the marquee Big Ten game at Noon, to let it dominate that timeslot.

The Badgers have the nations #1 defense,

statistically I assume, but do you really believe they have the nations #1 defense?

I'm not saying they aren't good, but the best offense they've played is probably Indiana or FAU? and FAU is good, I'm not flaming there. plus add in the badgers ball control offense, it inflates the stats a smidge.

we probably won't really know how good this Badger defense is (on a national level) until they play Ohio State and play their bowl game.

My guess is they will set up in "Badgerville" just North of the stadium.

The actual location of the pregame is in the field house which abuts Camp Randall, so the normal "Badgerville" location will be open and available. It's either that or in front on the field house on the South side.

I think the best offense they played is one that scored 55 the week prior. Hah!

S&P+ (prior to the Iowa game) ranked the #6 in the nation.  So pretty darned close, and I'm guessing it only went up this week.

So, this is Michigan's first trip to Madison since 2009.

(F You Jim Delany!)

This will almost be like a big OOC helmet game coming in, except we all know OOC helmets don't come to Madison.

Despite the time, Camp Randall will be rocking. It's been such a long time, and there is a lot on the line. This past Saturday was the loudest I've heard it in quite some time.

I think that had more to do with a piss poor effort from the Buckeyes, Iowa is a very average offense. they definitely had a good game 2 weeks ago though

People do seem to forget Iowa didn't do shit vs Penn st offensively either for much of the game.    We will all go to our graves not being able to figure out the osu at Iowa game of 2017.

They put up 10 on MSU, 10 on Northwestern (even with an OT) and 17 on Minnesota.  They haven't done anything all season in conference play on offense except for one quarter against Illinois, and then the weirdest game ever as you said.
