2026 Wisconsin Off-season Thread

UW reducing price of season tickets for 2026. Sure, there are only 6 (instead of 7) home games, but there's also a reduced demand thanks to the poor product on the field.

I've largely avoided any of the portal and recruiting news. I don't care. Prove to me that the team is better. That can only happen in the fall.

I would wager that Cignetti knows all of his players' names, unlike the clown in Madison.

Cignetti's Hypesman QB knew all the players names and faces before he got to campus from Cal

Mendoza also memorized all the Hypesman winners names that were in NYC before he got there

Chancellor Mnookin announced that she is leaving Wisconsin at the end of the semester to go to Columbia University. I suspect this will give McIntosh and Fickell even more rope because the new chancellor is unlikely to have much time in grade by the end of the next football season. Great.

The first question is obviously gonna be who this chancellor is and what their vision is.

Like, you can make Mac fire Fickell if it goes sideways. Which is the way you’ll probably have to do it.

Ironically, if the team does better, that potentially puts Mac in a worse spot.
