Good ole Paul Keels a most iconic voice, great guy but always some fumbling tongue work. At 10:58 he says "so Jeremiah has the receiving and receptions record". When he meant to say was today he has set the touchdowns & receptions records. He's always good at least 2-3 times a game for stating the wrong down, yardline, quarter, player or that 😍

In the small sample size of 2 games, the two worst pass efficiency defenses in the Big Ten are Illinois and Iowa.

Jeremiah Smith is single handedly making defenses suck

Day has said that it is "doubtful" that Sayin will return in the regular season
Day has said that it is "doubtful" that Sayin will return in the regular season. IMHO, he has played his last snap for Ohio State unless he comes back next year with one unlikely exception. The Buckeyes are 6-1 with very strong road wins over #6 Indiana and #15 Iowa and a rapidly deteriorating road loss to #19 Texas. Here is what is left:

  • At #16 USC
  • Vs Oregon
  • Vs #24 Northwestern
  • At Nebraska
  • Vs Michigan
That is a really tough road. There are two ranked teams and Oregon is getting votes (#27). Nebraska is close to ranked and Michigan has LOTS of talent so on any given Saturday they could play up to their lofty preseason ranking.

As I see it there are three possibilities:

Best-case-scenario, the Buckeyes go 5-1 or better and finish either 10-2 or 11-1. In this case Ohio State would obviously make the CFP but Sayin's replacement would obviously be playing REALLY well so would you even want Sayin back? I'm not saying he sucks or anything like that, just that his replacement doing that well then you would risk interrupting that momentum by switching back.

Worst-case-scenario, the Buckeyes go 3-3 or worse and finish 8-4 or worse. In this case there would be no playoffs so Sayin probably wouldn't come back for a meaningless bowl game anyway.

The unlikely scenario where I think Sayin would come back this season is if his replacement goes 3-2 AND the Buckeyes sneak in to the CFP at 9-3.

Maybe we could mid season portal Tommy Carr, I'm sure Bryce is chomping on the bit to get his gig back

Justin Fields still has eligibility, right?

Just need a local judge to sign off

In Louisiana we prefer to think of it as showing personal gratitude to our magistrates for making the right decisions.

There must be a judge in central Ohio who would like a pair of season tickets with good seats.  Plus, Ohio State has a law school so there are undoubtedly some alumni serving in judicial roles.
