At least they have basketball...

...checks notes, ACC has 11 of their 18 teams outside of the KenPom Top 70.  The money is making the Big Ten and SEC the clear top in both sports.  Yeah, Kansas, Duke, UNC basketball, and Clemson and FSU football will still probably figure it out, but once revenue sharing kicks in, they are going to have to pump so much in to overcome the Big Ten/SEC tv contracts

ACC will be dead before long and get swallowed up by the B1G & SEC. Clemson & FSU have been angling/trying to figure out ways to leave the conference.

I want Miami & UNC in the B1G.

It would be nice if there had just been a plan from the start to break football off and be it's own thing, and then preserve the geographic conferences for everything else

Football doesn't pay for basketball

And either way, it would still be part of the athletic department, it just wouldn't force every school to be dragged along as conferences kept realigning

he's from PA and his father played at Penn State. Sounds like the pressure from the Dad/family to follow in the Penn State legacy of pops and the distance to home was too much for Michigan to overcome to hold on to him in the end.

was really thinking it was going to be Oregon in the end. much rather he wound up at Penn State than Oregon to be honest. James Franklin ain't beating Michigan any time soon, he sucks meanwhile Oregon just whooped Michigan's ass this year and Dan Lanning is a problem.

I’m not normally a judging person based on a picture, but this doesn’t look like a happy family on what should be one of the happiest days. Looks like a family that puts too much pressure on a kid.

The 'pick a hat from the group' and especially 'dick around and put on multiple hats' schtick = weak parents.

You tell a school you're going to sign with them, you honor your word and do it...and do it quietly.  This public power trip from an 18 year old dipshit who has no actual knowledge of the world is gross.  Now add in NIL money for kids who haven't played a down for a university......just another example of a broken system.

I think Oregon is a bigger brand than USC is now
Have you been drinking?  Unless you're like 12 years old, Oregon has nothing on USC when it comes to branding or notoriety.
The Ducks haven't won shit...ever.  USC is held in much higher esteem by every college football fan born since 2000.

USC is a top 10 program and Oregon is maybe 20-25th.  Uniform combinations do not a great program/brand make.

No, but 12 years olds are more relevant to recruiting than 40 year olds.  I absolutely value USC more.  But my 12 year old will watch Oregon vs. whoever, and was pissed I turned on USC-ND last weekend.  Old heads like me prefer USC, but kids love Oregon

Kids don't have any money.  Have no power.  Have no real voice.
IF things remain how they are between the two programs for the next entire generation (25 years) and those kids have grown up and have money and power, THEN you'll have an argument.
