Miami in was pretty much a no brainer, excessive emotional pleas notwithstanding. The regular season has to mean something and the bubble was so sad this year that letting in a team like Auburn would have been just charity for Bruce Pearl.
LoL.

I have neither the time nor the crayons to explan basic concepts to you so enjoy your blissful ignorance.

I already know the routine. Ignore everyone's points and then write 1200 words repeating the same talking point ad nauseum and call everyone who disagrees stupid.

Anyways...what time is the Buckeye game I need to figure out if I need to get work coverage.

When you make a point I'll respond.

In all the discussion of this @bayareabadger made several reasonable points for your side but your next will be your first.

If you are smart enough to contribute I welcome that. It appears that you aren't.

Yep. Apparently they are spineless cowards who lack integrity but life goes on.
That's a data thing, right?

Anywho, mostly fine with UW's opening opponent. Didn't really want to see Arkansas there. Would've preferred Kansas, maybe Alabama? Couldn't have been Nebraska.

Well, I guess present something that isn't silly and I can respond to it. But just repeating NO QUAD 1 WINS 400 times and expecting that to do the work just ain't cutting it.

Anyways, I see people complaining that TCU is too low. But the fancystats don't seem to like them much. I remember watching them give Michigan a game before we knew what Michigan was. David Punch is a good name and player.

The data is abundantly clear, Miami is:
  • #64 in NET
  • #86 in Torvik
  • #93 in KenPom

Those do not justify Miami even being in the conversation.

The committee instead folded under pressure and fell for an emotional, feel good story.

Thus I stand by the statement. They are spineless cowards who lack integrity.

The difference between "no q1 wins" and "31 wins" is that the lack of q1 wins should be a relevant consideration while the number of wins over rotting corpses shouldn't.

If you weren't emotionally invested in your Alma mater you'd understand that.

Lol, like that's your opinion, man. I understand that this is your opinion. I strongly disagree with it. Also, everyone predicted Miami would be in, Miami is in, and the committee was clear they weren't the last team in, so that's a lot of people to be emotionally invested in my alma mater.

We can't quantify the spinelessness, cowardice or integrity?

Sounds emotional.

Looking like the top teams left out were either Auburn (17-16) or Oklahoma (19-15). Also in that mix were IU (18-14) and the pairing of New Mexico (22-10) and SD State (21-11) from a non-power conference.

And all of those teams are indisputably better that Miami.

Jumping on an old Medina hobby horse, there are nine tournament teams west of West Texas (next most east is from Fargo or Dallas).

No need to send 16 teams to PST.
