PURDUE 10
Nothing to say here. It was 28-3 at halftime, and 42-3 after three. At least Purdue found a garbage time touchdown late.
Texas 31, San Diego State 24
The Aztecs dominated the first half, and took a 24-7 lead into the break. Bijan Robinson had just about enough of that, leading the Longhorns back with 188 yards and 2 touchdowns in the second half, including the game winning 2 yard plunge with 8 seconds left.
Oklahoma 34, Louisville 16
We saw the growth of Caleb Williams, and we also saw him be a freshman that tried to do too much. In the first quarter he threw an ill advised interception, and the Sooners were shut out in the quarter. Then he got patient, took what the defense gave him, and was 28-36 for 283 yards in taking control of the game. But up 34-16 with 8:17 left in the game, flushed from the pocket, rather than throwing the ball away, and kicking an easy field goal, he threw the ball across his body, it was picked off, and Marvin Mims just barely prevented a pick six by a shoestring.
