It looks like Peyton Ramsey is going to end up at Northwestern. Good for him. I'm glad he doesn't play IU this year.

Why did he want out in the first place?

I wonder what Hunter Johnson is thinking.

That he shouldn't have been quite so awful?

5 STARZ!!

Anyway, former Badger OLB Christian Bell grad-transfers to the Fighting Lovie's (new mascot!!). He transferred to UW from Bama, where he wouldn't see the field. He saw it a little in Madison, but not much, and he wanted more. So, on the move again, and apparently is looking forward to playing his old team.

It will be interesting for him to be on the losing side of that matchup for the 2nd straight season. Not many get that opportunity. Heh.

Penix is the clear cut starter.

And one injury away from not being that.

True, but Ramsey also felt that he deserved to be a starter and this past season definitely bore that out. In addition, Jack Tuttle, former Elite 11 QB who transferred in from Utah, was and is looking like an upgrade as a backup and probable future starting QB.

Yes, but that doesn't seem to matter anymore.

Didn't Trevor Lawrence get knocked out of the game literally the week after Kelly Bryant entered the portal?

Oklahoma RB Trey Sermon in the portal. He's from Georgia, but I imagine OSU might take a swing

Yep, and Lawrence was healthy the rest of the way and won a national title. (The Bryant thing was like 40 percent on the coaches TBH)

There is a certain fatalism to QBs seeing someone younger or even one year ahead supersede them. But to a degree, players often know. And it takes a kid wired one way to make such a choice. (The same way a kid walks on and likely ensures he'll play relatively little competitive basketball)

Scott Frost is looking for warm bodies in his RB room

I hope some school looks at former Badger RB Bradrick Shaw. He's a grad transfer who just had too many injuries in his career. He could be very useful for teams looking for help at the position.

That he is headed to The OSU is the most common guess at this end.
I wish he weren't leaving.  He's a good guy and a good leader in the locker room.  He's no Adrian Peterson, but he's a good back.

Receiver Jaevon McQuitty has entered the transfer portal after his exit from the team was initially described as a medical retirement.
