Bryson Shaw flips from UW to Ohio State. Congrats on getting a 3* away from Paul Chryst and Jimmy Leonhard.

Shaw was recruited by assistant coaches Jim Leonhard and Mickey Turner. Head coach Paul Chryst was also present to take Shaw's commitment.
"I was in coach Chryst's office when I told him and he got really pumped," said Shaw. "He got up and gave me a hug. We were all pumped. It was a great feeling."
Shaw can play either safety position in Wisconsin's 3-4 defense.
"I see myself fitting in very well," he said. "My style of play is tough and fast. I can come up and help in the run game and have the speed to cover the field.
"I also see myself making an impact in the return game. I will do whatever it takes to help the team win a national championship."
Ohio State, Notre Dame, and Penn State were also expressing interest in Shaw. The Buckeyes may have been ready to offer and invited Shaw to Columbus for what they called "Bryson Shaw Day."
Even if new offers arise, the nation's No. 73 ranked safety said his recruitment has come to an end.
"It's over," he said. "I know that Wisconsin is the place for me. It feels right."

Very funny. Completely different though. This was not some 4-5* kid. He's a kid that UW's staff sniffed out early and evaluated him - apparently very well.

I don't like it that the UW staff also serves as talent evaluators for helmets schools.

3* DE Adam Berghorst commits to MSU.  Had an ND football offer, and a UM baseball offer, but MSU offered him in both.  Dude is 6'7" and 260, so I almost look more forward to seeing what he looks like on a baseball diamond.

Not that I expect this to make you feel better, but he kid did say he needed to get closer to home due to some personal family issues that arose.

Maryland would be close to his Maryland home. That story doesn't pass the smell test - just be honest. He committed to UW, and then he got the OSU offer. OSU never gave up, just like with QB Chase Wolf last year, except Wolf didn't succumb.

End of story.

I get the feeling UW knew this was coming, and took the transfer from Houston (as a PWO) to backfill this opening. He will have 3 years after sitting out 2018. They will still be looking to add one more safety prospect this class, from what I gather.
