Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin, NW, Purdue, and Nebraska

two things:

It's nice that the Badgers have fallen back to the pack, per se

So between MN, IA, WI, NW, Pur & NE I could see the six of them going 3-3 against each other which makes their crossover schedules that much more important.

Regarding Wisconsin, in over 15 seasons of watching Badgers football I’ve learned two things: 1) they uniquely go as their offensive line goes. A solid performance by their OL this year will return them right back to the success of PC’s first few seasons. & 2) Wisconsin is hardly ever blown out - maybe every 4 or 5 seasons a loss will stand out as a real butt kicking. For example against Michigan last season (and MN) but before that I have to remember all the way back to the 2008 Champs Sports Bowl loss Vs Florida State (with Bill Mays on sideline) to remember anything that bad.

I'm not sure, but that seems to be what some are thinking

I'm just hopeful

actually, I'd rather see the Badgers stay as a solid top ten type team and the Huskers just raise their game to match or surpass, but I don't always get what I'd rather

Booting off of comments (copied below) from @medinabuckeye1 in ELA’s countdown thread, I completely agree. As a big believer in Frost, year two is where we’ll see the big jump. It’s one of those scenarios where it’s easy to point out how Nebraska doesn’t have the top shelf talent of Ohio State or Penn State yet, but that isn’t the point for Nebraska going into this season. The greater point is I’m expecting the core talent that’s already in place to be much improved across the roster to the point that the higher-focus pieces (the QB) will have a much easier job with a well taught roster around him.

Another help is the division. I don’t see anyone as a particular front runner like Wisconsin of the past few years. The mixed bag of Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, and NW looks like a setup where all could go 2-2 Vs each other. Toss in Nebraska and I’m counting on Frost & Staff to exploit the larger flaws each of those four opponents have.

Fun times in the B1G West!

I see Nebraska as a wildcard where almost nothing would surprise me.  With most of their toughest opponents at home and most of their easiest on the road that could go either way:

If they are somewhat better than ELA projects:  They could be an 8-1 or 7-2 team.

If they are as ELA projects:  They could be a 1-8 or 2-7 team.

Their schedule means that the gap between 7-2 and 2-7 isn't very large.

My analysis of B1G HFA for Nebraska from @ELA 's countdown thread:
Nebraska:  The Cornhuskers schedule is almost exactly the inverse of Purdue's.  It is GREAT if they are a CCG contender and TERRIBLE if they are struggling for bowl eligibility.  Nebraska's best four opponents visit Lincoln (tOSU, IA, UW, NU) while they play four of their five worst opponents on the road (MN, PU, UMD, IL).  IMHO, this makes predicting Nebraska's record a complete crapshoot.

I knew Butch. He was the sheriff of the facilities.  If you weren't where you belonged he was going to make sure you knew about it.   Took awhile to get on his good side but he knew everybody.

I doubt that they will all go 3-3 against each other because even if they are all relatively equal the schedules are not.  Well, that and the fact that you listed six teams which equals five games each which means 3-2 or 2-3 are mathematical possibilities but not 3-3.

At this point, I think that Wisconsin is the team to beat due to schedule if nothing else.  They host Iowa, Northwestern, and Purdue and travel to Minnesota and Nebraska.

Games among the six teams that you listed and their crossovers:
 - Nebraska:  Hosts three (IA, UW, NU), visits two (MN, PU); visits UMD, hosts tOSU and IU
 - Wisconsin:  Hosts three (IA, NU, PU), visits two (MN, UNL); visits tOSU, hosts M and MSU
 - Northwestern:  Hosts three (IA, MN, PU), visits two (UW, UNL); visits IU, hosts tOSU and MSU
 - Purdue:  Hosts two (MN, UNL), visits three (IA, UW, NU); visits PSU, hosts IU and UMD
 - Iowa:  Hosts two (MN, PU), visits three (UW, NU, UNL); visits M, hosts PSU and RU
 - Minnesota:  Hosts two (UW, UNL), visits three (IA, NU, PU); visits RU, hosts PSU and UMD

Nebraska running back signee Dedrick Mills is set to enroll on Wednesday. The news was confirmed to Husker247 by a university spokesman on Tuesday afternoon. Mills, a junior college transfer from Garden City, was formally admitted by Nebraska earlier in the day.

The admission is a sigh of relief for Nebraska fans as rumors swirled regarding Mills' academic standing. Instead, he'll enroll before some incoming freshman and exactly during the time most newcomers arrive if they don't join the team in January.

Husker fans interested in being at Memorial Stadium for Nebraska’s outstanding 2019 home schedule can purchase season tickets beginning on Monday, June 3 at 10 a.m. CT.

A limited number of season tickets remain following this month’s Seat Yourself Process. The 2019 home schedule at Memorial Stadium is one of the best in recent years, featuring games against Big Ten Champion Ohio State, and West Division rivals Iowa, Northwestern and Wisconsin.

Fans interested in purchasing season tickets may do so at Huskers.com/tickets or by calling 1-800-8-BIG RED. The remaining seats are located in various locations around Memorial Stadium and the majority of them are at lower donation levels, beginning at $150 per seat.

Season tickets for the 2019 football season are $420 for a seven-game ticket package, or $60 per game. Season ticket holders receive the benefit of more than a 20 percent cost savings versus the price of single-game tickets. New season ticket buyers will pay for their tickets and donation at the time of purchase.
