Some thoughts on Iowa's offense.
Iowa is still breaking in its new QB. Looks like Hank Brown has won the job for now, which is interesting because he was not the favorite coming into the fall camp.
Hank Brown is considered the more safe choice for QBwho makes less mistakes. The other guy Hecklinski is considered more of a risk taker, aka a gunslinger. In the actual games so far most agree Brown has looked better but it is not obvious yet he has the job locked up.
It looks like Iowa has its first legit really good WR this decade,Tony Diaz, a transfer from FCS. So far against some bad defenses, Diaz shows a consistent ability to get open. But can he get open against a defense like Michigan's?
As usual, Iowa has a decent group of RB's, TE's and OL. But they have been banged up and some of them sat out against UNI. Iowa hopes the starting RB and starting TE get cleared to play against Mich. If not, iowa has some good backups too.
