something i read about the 'saban' factor makes a lot of sense... nothing new here, just throwing it out there:
the SEC is preparing for what they believe is Saban's last 3~5 years... loading up on talent and getting the coaches/schemes in place while they wait.
if this is the case, aTm made a smart move. so did UF and by extension MSU, as well as Arky and UGA w/Smart (2 years ago now, so they kinda lucked into it)... UTk has yet to have been decided, and there may be trickle down next season into UK, and maybe even LSU (though i think the bayou has the best possible person in place there).
yup... i think the SEC is shifting due to one man. and, i don't think that aTm did poorly, but.... i think jimbo is a violation waiting to happen.
