yes, performance has been quite nice lately.   I did have similar issues posted elsewhere on chrome and safari (last month), all gone now.   Mobile works well.

i appreciate y'alls feedback hugely... 99.9% of the time it's just me on one of three computers and various browsers trying to make sure everything is right- using two cell phones, a tablet, and then a bunch of simulated browsers in attempt to make sure everything works like it does on my personal computer.   it's certainly not like we have a staff of developers working out bugs before launch- i mean, i try- but there is always something missing or done poorly i don't discover until someone mentions it or i stumble across it.  

taxes finally done, i rolled up sleeves over last couple days and tweaked some settings and injected a few functions... so far so good- the site is a lot quicker, and as the caches build it will become even more so...

the technical issue i face is the code in your machine... it's pre-php5, and the server here can't handle it- it uses php7.. there are too many commands for your code to work due to sunset/depreciation between the versions.  

if you could email me your engine (code), I will have it redrafted by a coder to update the source to php7.1 which will make it a LOT faster and cleaner (and more secure).  

i don't 'think' the database matters- so long as it's SQL, the sql engine itself will make the under the hood changes to make it work with php7 all by itself. 

Apologies Sir- I've been incredibly busy and simply don't have time to do anything- but i will make time for this as it's past due.  i've been fighting a rogue javascript in the site here for about a week, as a for instance.  zero sleep thursday night and little over three hours the prior three days... i recharged last night, though, and after the sun hides i can focus on the site. 

first things first, though- i've got to farm that code of yours out for update.  i'll have it done by a professional.  i'm about tired of attempting it myself and then chasing rogue code without sleep. 

It's an awful lot of code in an awful lot of programs.  You're welcome to it if you want to get up to the challenged.  A lot of it is rewritable, though

oh it's over my head to be honest- i intend to farm it out to a professional.  it may be that it costs a few hundred dollars to do it, but it will be worth it all around by the end.   I REALLY want to make your product an app for the iOS and droid family- mobile- tie it in with the forum, and watch it do all of us some justice.  first things first, though, let's get it redrafted and launched on the server here, and then get yet another pro to build the App.
