Here's what I said on another site a couple of weeks ago, when BaseVols hit #1:

Quote
Well, let's see...

#1 in Baseball and Football in 2022 (during the season); #1 in Baseball, 2024...

Both took a little downturn in '23, but were highly competitive... #17, gridiron; #21, diamond...

Hoops has been pretty much camped in the top 10 during that stretch... sometimes getting up into nosebleed territory...

I'd say these are pretty much the good ol' days for Vol athletics.

Football could be a playoff year... girls hoops on the rise...?

GBO.

I had no idea about our success in golf, tennis, tiddlywinks...

It's amazing.

Football is, and always will be, the bell cow.

It was not that long ago, I was writing about how we were another bad coaching hire in football from pretty much permanent irrelevance.  Another 10-year down cycle.  Our glory days approaching decades in the rearview.  Downsize the stadium, repaint the numbers of those benches, let people spread out so it won't look so empty at 70K...

It's changed.  And FAST.
