Great pickup.  He's physically impressive as hell and played well in his action as a true freshman.  I was hoping he'd stay, I think he may have been able to take the RT tackle starting job in '24, and was a shoe-in for more time backing up the tackles and starting at guard.  But, we didn't offer him the $ he wanted, so.....

I think he'll be great wherever he plays.  He may have a bit of a learning curve at LT, but he's still so gifted I think he'll be fine there as well pretty quickly.  The only reason he hadn't already taken one of the tackle spots at LSU was because he's got a year less experience than the two talented tackles already there.  He may have technically been a backup, but he's not "backup quality," if you know what I mean.  He's an SEC starter.  Again, great pickup for Tennessee.

I meant to say "SEC starter" is the floor for this guy.  He's probably an All-Conference player, or even All-American.  He's an absolute dog, as the kids say.

IMO LSU's two current tackles are the best tandem in the nation.  Heard is going to be every bit as good as them, if not better.
