so there has been some noise on twitter that this may not have anything to do with the arrest and the behavior during the arrest. that this is a free standing circumstance- but no word on that that may be... but the team knows, which means twitter will soon know, and then the world... i think that' how that works, anyway...

if so...

he (CJP) went WAY out of his way to cater to this kid.. if the kid screwed up again? enough is enough.

From CJP's wording I think there was something additional that came to light. Was it threatening the girl? I believe he is trying to have his players backs but there is a point you have to have and demonstrate some extremely tough love. Been there as both a coach and a parent. It is not a easy decision or action and it bothers you from then on. CJP needs the publics support at this juncture in his career and life.

Reported to be a new video where he said he should smack a girl. Last straw etc.

This also enables Banks to move somewhere and not lose a year of eligibility, so they did him a favor in a sense, I don't know what team is going to be interested.
