Some inside on missing players
« on: September 18, 2023, 03:28:44 PM »
Heupel is NEVER going to give out information on players not playing. I've been hearing Mays is likely out until mid-October. Heuple said before Virginia he might play and he had not even practiced yet. Then he said Friday it would be a game time decision. On Slaughter, it was learned after last nights game, he had an injury last week but no one in the football program provided that information to the media. If the media was allowed to see practice, they would have noticed him not practicing but they are not allowed. Mincey was out past curfew on Thursday night so they decided to not play him and again, the media was not informed. He keeps indicating Pili might be out for a few weeks, but I keep hearing might be back for Georgia. What info he gives is misleading.

I figured Cooper Mays would miss a few games when I heard he had hernia surgery. Yesterday I heard he had more than one hernia surgery so who knows how long it will be before he can play. It’s already been six weeks since the surgery.
