week 3 power rankings
« on: September 16, 2019, 10:51:26 AM »
1 - bama - running game was ok, just no used. and the stats looked like the d was broken, but i thought the starters did pretty well. gave up some yards and a highly unlikely td, but overall did well. and the passing game is lethal as ever.
2 - uga - didn't watch, did what they were supposed to.
3 - lsu - didn't watch, looks like they had a 1st qtr hangover from last week. understandable. did what they were supposed to.
4 - au - didn't watch, did what they're supposed to.
5 - uf - snuck out with a win vs a decent uk team and after losing their qb. the backup looked better than franks. hope he's ok, though.
6 - aTm - didn't watch, did what they're supposed to.
7 - kentucky - took uf to wire, pretty good team.
8 - usc - hilinski kid is pretty good, could be really good if given time and weapons.
9 - msu - thought they'd win that one. good game, and great effort at end, just not enough. another one where backup qb played better than starter.
10 - mizz - pounded a nobody, still a long way to go.
11 - arky - pulled away in 4th, still a long way to go.
12 - ole miss - didn't play, don't trust them.
13 - vandy - didn't play.
14 - tenn - got a win at least.

Wow, there are seven worse wins (6, really, bc of Vandy) than beating Arkansas?  Ick.

That Auburn win vs. is Oregon is looking pretty good right now.  Oregon has scored 112 points the last two weeks. Granted it was Montana and Nevada, but still.....that's alot of points and their defense has given up 9 points total the last two games. As much as i don't like Auburn, winning that game with a true freshman QB looks really good.
Texas plays Oklahoma State this Saturday...i'm going to reserve judgement on Texas until this week.
A win over a 1-2 Miami is 3rd? Miami lost to North Carolina...who lost to........Wake Forest..

i'd put Mizzou's win over West Virginia at 3 as of right now.

the rest are really just who beat the best of the worst.  nothing sticks out.

Best win(s) to date:

Auburn - A&M and Oregon

LSU - @TexasFan

UGA - ND

Bame - @USCe

Mizzou - WVU, USCe

Then meh.  UK doesn't look like much of a win now to me.
