So, the SS had only three games played, I picked the winner, not hard to do, not great on the scores.

South Carolina is pretty bad.  I'm surprised at Vandy, 35 points on that UK D.  Florida, well, not upset change really.  They may be able to keep up with Alabama.

unless bama's defensive improvements really are improvements and not a result of the offenses faced, then there are a lot of teams that could keep up with bama. maybe not win, but make it an interesting game, a la ole miss. uf, i suspect, can do more than that. perhaps we will get to see. perhaps not.

Florida won as expected 38-17, not the offensive explosion I expected

LSU won 27-24, I might be overly impressed with Arky, but they hung in there

Bama 63-3, no surprise there really except the 63 is impressive

Auburn 30-17, pretty close to my pick

UGA 31-24, UGA completely unable to run the ball, new QB had very good game

Mizzou 17-10, well, OK then.

With Schiano showing signs of life at Rutgers, I expect him in the SEC next year.

It seems to me the league has one clearly elite team, one team that might hang with them (UF), another rather good team in A&M, a rather mediocre team in UGA able to play one good half per game, and a bunch of pretty miserable teams.  Maybe Auburn is mediocre.  Anyone else?

The only one I disagree with is I think Ole Miss beats Miss State. I think Kiffin is a better coach than the so called Pirate and that's the difference.

I think August-Georgia defense was elite.  November Georgia defense is not.  And if they can't run, then the OL is struggling.  I just think they've sapped their depth with all that's happened.

Injuries have been an issue for sure.  I think the greater illness is with the offense being unable to sustain drives, too many three and outs, again.
