Week 12
« on: November 14, 2022, 10:35:05 AM »
Florida at Vandy - Gators win handily 37-13

UGA at UK - I thought this would be a tough one earlier, but not so much today, Dawgs roll again 41-17

Tenn at USCe - Tenn is much better than USCe, wins 48-29

Ole Miss at Arky - I mused about the upset, but no, Rebels win, 31-13

I'm skipping OOC games.

I am becoming a bit impressed with the Dawgs, they seem to have some mental toughness.  I guess that means they get upset.

I think Ole Miss @ Arkansas is the only game I'm interested in here.  Not that interesting of a slate for this time of year.

Maybe a few games from other conferences are interesting.  TCU @ Baylor kinda has my attention.

Well, I made pretty reasonable choices above and missed somehow 3 out of 4.

Really I missed all of them.

I tell ya, the noon game in Nashville might be the toughest place to play in the SEC.

We didn't deserve it.  Penalties.  Richardson played like he did vs UK when he was secretly hurt.

My picking efforts this year have been worse than my usual pedestrian attempts.  I don't think Vandy is a tough place to play at any time of the day.

I thought Vandy looked awful, as in "Vandy awful" earlier in the year.

Shouldn't have wasted my time watching TCU/Baylor when Florida's was derping on the other channel.

Tough sledding all the way around for the four teams currently in playoff slots.  TCU pulled off a minor miracle at the end, UGA was never truly threatened, but never exactly comfortable, the B1G teams either got more than they bargained for or they were caught looking ahead to each other.  TCU playing at Baylor was understandable...Baylor is a tough out on a good day.  The rest of them....just one of those survival Saturdays....don't worry about style points, just win, baby.

Tennessee....I don't even know what to say.  Spencer Rattler could do no wrong.

When you win, the closeness seems to diminish over time (see Missouri win for UGA).  Just win, ugly, pretty, in between.
