Week 7
« on: October 15, 2021, 03:51:12 PM »
So I guess I will start the thread this week since it's Friday.

FLA 42
LSU 17
LSU still sux....Fla rolls
-------------------

aTm    45
Mizzou  24
Which Calzada shows up?  If it's last week's guy this is the score.  If not then maybe Mizzou wins?
-------------------

Auburn  26
Arkansas 21 <-----Hardest one to pick this week IMO
-------------------

UGa 33
UK  10
UGa strong defense stymies UK for first loss.  UK still a good team, plays it close until late in the 4th.
-------------------

USC 27
Vandy 6
Vandy, the suck is strong with you, always.
---------------------
Bama 54
MS State 27
Bama strikes back ( at the wrong team).

Hey Grantham, I think they might run the counter here...

Wow at LSU. Just when you think they’re done because of turmoil and injuries they prove everybody wrong.

Close on the UGA score.  Florida must be struggling with something.  Wow.

Florida struggled with defending one of the simplest plays in football.
Otherwise, -4 in turnovers and losing by a TD is impressive.

Chalk this up to the weird voodoo LSU has on UF these days.  Since Tebow (the last round of truly elite Gator teams, Meyer was still there for 2010 but it was effectively the beginning of the post-Meyer era), LSU has gone 9-3 against Florida.  LSU has been the better program, but not 9-3 better.  A number of those games have been extremely close, and almost all went LSU's way.  It's a fluky thing.

Good news for Gators though, LSU has never beaten UF 4x in a row, so Florida is certain to win next year.  Even when it seemed imminent for LSU to pull 4 off in 2016 the universe conspired to make the Tigers lose in the dumbest ways possible.

Damn gators better not have cost us our shot to get rid of O.  Way too much goodwill around this program today.  I suspect that will evaporate quickly with another string of L's.

Yeah, that's it.  Mullen was playing the long game, but the LSU AD saw through it....
