Well here we are. The first matchup of the Red River Rivalry in the SEC, and both teams have a bye next week so we get TWO weeks of hatred this season.
OU looked a little shaky earlier in the season but played decent against both @Auburn and in a home loss to Tennessee.
Texas looked pretty good earlier in the season but just had a pretty awful game against a bad MSU team.
What can we take from all of that? Nothing. Because this is a rivalry game full of passionate, unbridled hate. It's terrible and glorious all at the same time.
Personally I'm not too upset that Texas had a rough game yesterday-- it's pretty clear the team got over-confident and that's a terrible way to enter the TX-OU game. Humbled and angry is how I want Texas to spend the next 2 weeks preparing for OU.
Anyway, let the official Hate Week(s) begin!
