The Sooners scare the crap out of me. They are rightfully one of the proudest programs in cfb history, they are loaded with blue chip players and they have been told for 2 weeks how much they suck. If the Dawgs get up by a couple of scores early and put a lot of pressure on Mateer to keep up,  UGA could blow them out but that is not what I expect. I expect a 4 quarter game that is terrifying.

Bear Bryant said once SEC games are like a knife fight in a ditch. I would take the 2 tds if I was a gambler.

Dawgs 23-13. Sic em!

They have been rightfully told they are hot garbage --- according to my eyeballs.

Dawgs 30-10

We're not bad this year.  300 yards rushing and 35 points in the 2nd half vs Ole Miss.

Gata looks good.  Gonna be a fun season for you to watch and I'm very glad our game is in Austin this year.

Why does it always seem that when a coach talks glowingly preseason of a certain unit on the team it never fails that that unit will perform horribly during the season ?

I distinctly remember Elko saying we had our best secondary ever, including his time as DC from 2017-2021.

Real life ?  The opposing QB regularly makes deep throws, and outside of weak LSP competition I don’t think we’ve had an INT all year.

LSU just went up again on a long TD pass.

Sigh.

The OU defense was as good as advertised but omg Mateer. The Dawgs got up 14-0 but Mateer had them down to the 5 but then he literally dropped the ball lol and 85 long-legged yards the rout was on.

The Cocktail Party looks likes it will be must see tv.

I notice pretty often some teams come out 4 or 5 and 0 and get noticed, like UCLA, then fade badly.  The injury bug combined with weak depth can cause it.

Then teams like Florida look really solid one week and ... not so much the next.

I'll partially watch the Third Week in October game wondering about the Vols, and if Bama has a holdover.  I THINK it's close for thee quarters and then not very, something like Bama 27-17.  But a Vol win would not shock me.  Bama seems to have a very solid team, to me.

A lor of teams in the SEC strike me as mysteries, dangerous while capable of being blown out, like OU did.
