I dislike most teams with orange on their unis.  I kind of like Texas for some reason.  Our close rivals all have orange, Auburn, UF, Tenn sort of, Clemson, Tech not really.

I look forward to the UT-UGA game, though unless the Dawgs find a first quarter offense, it will probably be ugly.

Well, the game didn't live up to expectations.

Congrats to the Longhorns. They were solid (or better) in all phases of the game. UGA looks like the only team remaining that might threaten UT in the regular season.

Thanks C-Dubb, Sooners fought hard and made a game out of it in the first half.  Ultimately y'all weren't able to overcome the loss of all of those WRs, and the Sooner o-line is a work in progress as well.

Can't really say anything bad about the freshman QB, he played as well as he could in a challenging position.

Best of luck the rest of the way.

You've got a monster team, Utee. I imagine that the Longhorns are the favorites to win the NC. If not, they should be.

Texas is a 3.5 point favorite next week. The Dawgs are doomed.

3.5 means it's a pick'em at a neutral site.  Your reverse jinx voodoo hoodoo won't work here.

Ewers better play better then he did against OU or were the ones who are doomed
They won't let me give blood anymore. The burnt orange color scares the hell out of the doctors.

Yup. He clearly had some rust in the 1st half yesterday.  He got better throughout the game but was never what I would call "comfortable and crisp" as he was before the injury.

You can see the habits Sark coached out of him during his tenure. He showed a few of them Saturday. I'm guessing that'll be the focus in practice this week.

I expect him to have a better performance.  I mean, as rusty as it was, there's no comparison to his dismal meltdown in the same game last year.

But this week, and every week hereafter, the stakes will continue to grow.

The footwork, the arm angles, eyes that mislead the defense. All these things turn a QB from a guy with good skills to a contender. Last year, Quinn was trying to remember all those things when he was on the field. When he got hurried, he reverted to his high school style.
This season, he's obviously internalized them to the point where they were automatic. With a month layoff, he let some of those bad habits creep back in. Now that he's confident in his arm again, and the ability to take hits like a football player, I suspect this week will be about locking back in to the good habits.
