Neither of these teams is any good, but there is still NFL talent all over the field, and that makes for tough sledding when trying to guess what the game might look like.
I see a huge difference in mentality. When I watch Florida, they are a mediocre team but they are mentally tough, they expect good things to happen to them if they keep fighting and they expect to win, and they do. It shows up in the W/L column. When I watch LSU, they are also a mediocre team but they are mentally weak, they fold when the first bad thing happens to them. They can't recover. TD called back on a BS penalty on the first drive at MSU.....fold. Fumble first snap vs. Troy.....fold. INT vs. Syracuse.....fold. Only reason they won is because the lead was too great for 'Cuse to overcome at that point. You can see it in their body language on the field and on the sidelines. Converse to Florida, they expect things to slip away from them, and it does.
Anything could happen, but I'd take Florida, for sure take them at home. LSU has the talent to keep it close in most phases* but something will go wrong at some point and LSU won't recover.
*but probably not on the OL. The most likely place for bad things to happen to snowball LSU into submission is the Tiger OL will almost certainly be dominated by the Gator DL.
