Season Opening Runners of the Week Announced

Charlotte Wood (West Virginia) and Jeremy Meadows (Baylor) were named the runners of the week after the first season opened on August 31.
Meadows earned his first career win, as he placed first in the Bear Twilight Invitational. Led the Bears to the team title with the fastest 6K time (18:17.2) amongst the competition.
Wood, the freshman out of Canada, ran 5K race time of 18:17.2, which topped a field of 61 runners in her collegiate debut. Her performance helped hoist the Mountaineers to their third consecutive season-opening victory.
This week’s awards mark are the first for Meadows and Wood.
