The Big 12 Conference is represented with nine former student-athletes on seven-of-eight teams that qualified for the 2018 WNBA Playoffs.
Baylor, Oklahoma, Texas and West Virginia all have former standouts on respective playoff rosters.
The Lady Bears lead the way with four representatives: Britney Griner (Phoenix), Alexis Jones (Minnesota), Alexis Prince (Atlanta) and Odyssey Sims (Los Angeles). The Longhorns and Sooners each have two alums. Ariel Atkins (Washington) and Imani McGee-Stafford (Atlanta) represent UT, while Courtney Paris (Seattle) and Danielle Robinson (Minnesota) played at OU. West Virginia’s Bria Holmes, who is currently on maternity leave, is on the Connecticut roster.
The 2018 WNBA Playoffs open on Tuesday, August 21, with two first round matchups: Dallas at Washington (7:30 p.m. CT on ESPN2) and Minnesota at Los Angeles (9:30 p.m. CT on ESPN2).
