Casey joins IMG Network

Two-time national champion and two-time SEC champion Tate Casey has joined the Gators IMG Sports Network broadcast team as a sideline reporter for the 2018 season.

Casey is remembered by most Gators fans as the tight end on the receiving end of Tim Tebow’s jump pass from Florida’s matchup with LSU in 2006. Overall, he totaled 28 catches and seven touchdowns during his career.

“Since leaving Texas to play at UF I have called Florida my home and the Gator Nation my family,” Casey said. “Having the opportunity to start a new chapter with Mick Hubert and his team is a huge privilege and I look forward to being a part of Florida football in a different capacity that allows me to merge two of the biggest passions in my life, Football and the University of Florida. I’m anxious to get to work and kickoff the Dan Mullen era during a period where anticipation for gator football is at an all-time high. Go Gators!”

The Gators IMG Sports Network brings Florida football to listeners across the state and beyond as the largest college sports network in the state. With 32 total affiliates, the network is anchored by flagship WRUF 103.7-FM in Gainesville.

Casey joins Voice of the Gators, and current Florida Sportscaster of the Year, Mick Hubert (30th season) along with former Gator football letterwinner Lee McGriff (25th season). Meanwhile, Casey also will be working with Jeff Cardozo (5th season) on Florida’s pregame, halftime and postgame coverage.

Players who receive NFL contracts will be allowed to break deals with the AAF, which was founded by TV and film producer Charlie Ebersol and Bill Polian.
