It took a little while, but Sigi Schmid’s team is now in a good stride with a run of five games unbeaten. A Zlatan Ibrahimovic goal, his 12th of the year, stole the show for the streaking Galaxy in Philadelphia.

On the one hand, the Dynamo have to be happy with a point against FC Dallas after conceding in the first minute and giving up several good chances. On the other, no draw against Dallas can feel satisfying for Houston.

The Loons have themselves a three-game winning streak, with an emphatic 5-1 win over the second-place team in the West on Sunday night the latest in the run. United moved up to seventh place, just two points back of RSL for the last playoff spot.
