One of the reasons Florida was seeking to move up its college football season opener against Miami to a week earlier was the national exposure for its brand. And both schools got it.

ESPN announced Tuesday its traveling road shows College GameDay and SEC Nation will emanate from Orlando on Aug. 24, the site of 2019 Camping World Kickoff between Florida and Miami. The No. 8 Gators and Hurricanes will meet for the first time since 2013 and officially kickoff the 150th season of college football.

These two shows last chose to broadcast around the same game last fall in Jacksonville, when the Gators and Georgia Bulldogs faced off at TIAA Bank Stadium.

GameDay will air live from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on ESPN from Magic Kingdom atop the elevated Main Street Train Station, with iconic Main Street USA and Cinderella’s Castle as the backdrop. Throughout the show, various segments and reports will also be conducted from around the park as Disney World becomes the 85th sit to host the iconic show.

Florida will be making its 39th appearance on the sport’s marquee show, the third highest total in the country behind only Ohio State (44) and Alabama (46). The Gators’ 24-14 (.632) record ranks seventh-best in the nation for schools who have played in 10 or more GameDay contests.

Since 1993, College GameDay has been television’s definitive and comprehensive college football studio show and has traveled most weeks on college Saturdays to the day’s big game and has been met by large and enthusiastic crowds. Rece Davis will host, reuniting the cast of characters: Kirk Herbstreit, Lee Corso, Desmond Howard, David Pollack and Maria Taylor.

Meanwhile, SEC Nation will air live on SEC Network from 5-7 p.m. ET on the sidelines of Camping World Stadium. The show includes live reports, analysis and features surrounding the world of SEC football, as well as special appearances from hometown favorites throughout the season. Host Laura Rutledge will be joined in Orlando by analysts Tim Tebow, Marcus Spears and Paul Finebaum.

Overall, this will be Florida’s 15th appearance on the show.
