The United Soccer Coaches announced its national preseason Top 25 rankings on Tuesday, with four Big 12 schools represented on the poll.

West Virginia claimed the No. 11 spot to lead all Big 12 programs. The Mountaineers are coming off a year which saw them win the 2018 postseason Big 12 Championship in Kansas City and advance to the second round of the NCAA Tournament.

Baylor checks in at No. 14 as the defending Big 12 regular-season champion. The Bears made it to the NCAA Championship quarterfinals for the second consecutive year, winning 20 games for the first time in program history.

Texas is ranked No. 19 to start the 2019 campaign after a 13-5-3 record earned the Longhorns the No. 20 spot in 2018’s final rankings. UT has been ranked in each of the last 25 polls, dating back to September 12, 2017.

Texas Tech comes in at No. 22 after a trip to the second round of the 2018 NCAA Tournament. The Red Raiders led the conference with just 12 goals against and tied with Baylor for most shutouts with 14.
