THINGS TO CARE ABOUT

Kawhi the quiet recruiter … Perhaps we’ve been underestimating The Klaw. Sure, he has garnered respect as one of the best in the game on the court, but what about how he handles his business off of it? Rockets ‘long shot’ to grab Westbrook … One is the loneliest number. Just ask Russell Westbrook, the lone superstar left in Oklahoma City. With Paul George requesting a trade to join Kawhi in L.A., Westbrook — who has played all 11 seasons of his career with the Thunder — is likely on the move. OVERHEARD

“He was unbelievably fun to coach … The best thing was I got to stand there on the courtside and watch this guy go to work. That was something that I’ll never forget. Now we got to go kick his ass.”
