Two Former Big 12 Standouts Selected for All-Star Game

A pair of former Big 12 baseball student-athletes will participate in the 2019 Major League Baseball All-Star Game on Tuesday, July 9 in Cleveland, Ohio.

Baylor’s Max Muncy will represent the Los Angeles Dodgers as a reserve first baseman on the National League squad. Muncy, a two-time All-Big 12 performer, replaced Washington’s Anthony Rendon on the roster.

West Virginia’s John Means is the lone Baltimore Oriole on the roster. The right-handed pitcher was All-Big 12 Honorable Mention in 2014.

Tuesday’s game is set for a 6:30 p.m. CT/7:30 p.m. ET first pitch on FOX.
