2018-19 Big 12 Athlete of the Year candidates will be highlighted each weekday through July 10.
Fans will be able to vote for their male and female choices beginning on July 5 and concluding on July 10 on Big12Sports.com.
Fan voting will be considered in the final tally for selecting this prestigious award. Today’s featured candidates are TCU’s Destiny Longmire and Chengetayi Mapaya.
TCU Female Athlete of the Year Candidate

Accomplishments
^ Placed fourth at the NCAA Indoor and Outdoor Championships in the long jump
^ Won the Big 12 Indoor title in the long jump
^ Finished second in the long jump at the Big 12 Outdoor Track & Field Championship
^ Won the two other two meets she competed in during the indoor season (Texas Tech Shootout and Charlie Thomas)

^ Won the 2019 NCAA Outdoor National Championship in the triple jump with a school-record leap of 17.13m (56-2.5)
^ Finished third at the 2019 NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championship in the triple jump
