2018-19 Big 12 Athlete of the Year candidates will be highlighted each weekday through July 10.
Fans will be able to vote for their male and female choices beginning on July 5 and concluding on July 10 on Big12Sports.com.
Fan voting will be considered in the final tally for selecting this prestigious award. Today’s featured candidates are Oklahoma State’s Sinclaire Johnson and Viktor Hovland.
OSU Female Athlete of the Year Candidate
Sinclaire Johnson; Women’s Cross Country/Track & Field

Accomplishments
^ Won the NCAA National Championship in the outdoor 1,500-meters with a meet-record time of 4:05.98
^ Semifinalist for the Bowerman – the highest accolade in collegiate track & field
^ Collected three Big 12 titles (indoor 1,000-meters, indoor distance medley relay and outdoor 800 meters)
^ Earned two All-American honors (indoor distance medley and outdoor 1,500-meters)
^ Midwest Region Female Track Athlete of the Year

^ Ben Hogan Award winner, given to the country’s outstanding golfer in collegiate and amateur competitions
^ Earned All-America First Team honors for a second consecutive year
^ Named the 2019 Big 12 Men’s Golfer of the Year and earned All-Big 12 First Team honors for a third-straight year
^ Became the first Norwegian to win the U.S. Amateur Championship
^ Earned the Silver Cup (lowest amateur) at The Masters and broke the amateur scoring record held by Jack Nicklaus at the U.S. Open
