Six Named Baseball America All-Americans

Six Big 12 Baseball student-athletes earned All-American honors from Baseball America for their 2019 campaigns.

Two garnered first team recognition, while one on the second team and three on the third.

A Big 12 duo comprised of Baylor’s Kyle Hill and West Virginia’s Alek Manoah were recognized as Baseball America First Team All-Americans. Texas Tech’s Josh Jung was the sole Big 12 representative on the second team, while fellow Red Raider,

Cameron Warren, along with BU’s Davis Wendzel and TCU’s Nick Lodolo, all earned spots on the third team.

Jung, the Co-Big 12 Player of the Year, was the only Big 12 player, and one of five overall, to be named to the ledger as an All-American in back-to-back years, having earned second team honors last season as well.

Manoah capped off his junior campaign with 144 strikeouts and an ERA of 2.08. Fellow first team member, Hill, closed out his year with a perfect 6-0 record through 29.1 innings pitched, allowing zero runs on 10 hits.
