Jordan Wicks of K-State, Ben Abram of Oklahoma and Clayton Beeter of Texas Tech were all named Collegiate Baseball’s Freshmen All-Americans.
Wicks and Abram were recognized as starting pitchers, while Beeter earned All-America honors as a closer.
Wicks, the 2019 Big 12 Freshman of the Year, registered a 6-3 record, a 3.61 ERA and fanned 86 batters with 26 walks over 84.2 innings pitched.
OU’s Abram garnered Big 12 All-Freshman Team honors with a season that consisted of a 6-4 record, a 4.24 ERA and 52 K’s. The rookie completed this through 15 appearances.
The Red Raiders’ rookie reliever posted eight saves on the year with an ERA of 2.79 over 19 appearances. Beeter struck out 38 batters and walked 18 during the 2019 campaign.
